The member representing the Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba at the House of Representatives, Hon. Ozurigbo Ugonna with his elegant wife, Ijeoma, were special guests of honour at the Amandugba Federal Union Biannual Convention which held in Baltimore, United States of America.

Speaking at the the prestigious event, the lawmaker recalled the massive support he received from the people of Amandugba at the just concluded general elections and was full of thanks to the people of the great community for rallying behind him to achieve his ambition of representing the large federal constituency.

In his brief speech, Enyioha Gburugburu posited that in his usual manner, he intended to continue his empowerment trend which earned him the nickname Mr Project, a name that is in sync with the various projects he has littered all over Nwangele LGA which he had the honour to represent twice at the Imo State House of Assembly.

He further added that he intended to replicate the same feat across the federal constituency and Amandugba especially noting that he had already painted the Umunuma Hall as recommended by the populace when he visited during the campaigns.

"Aside from the Hall, I am poised to do more for Amandugba.", the House of Representatives Committee Chairman on Justice declared.

The former Deputy speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly donated the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5000) for the construction of a Solar Powered Borehole for the Eke Amandugba market which has been described as the largest yam market in Imo state.

The Umuozu born politician also supported the construction of the Amandugba Multipurpose Centre with Two Thousand Dollars ($2000) and pledged another $1000 in support of the Union.

He urged the leadership of the Union to channel their efforts to overseeing the developmental overhaul of Amandugba through the implementation of grassroots developmental initiatives.

Notable personalities like, Chief Kingsley Ngameduru (Ogbughorouzo na Amandugba), Chief Dr. Emecheta, Chief Dr. Emeka Nwadike, Chief Engr. Nnamdi Iwuoha, Rtd. Gen. Chief Henry Unaeze, Nze Dominic Amaechi, Nze Okey Okigwe, Chief KC Ojinnaka, Chief Ikechukwu Agwu, Chief Emmanuel Azike, Chief and Lolo Iyke Azike, Uche Nwokeafor, Chief Kevin Ike and other guests too numerous to mention were all present to witness the epoch making event.
