IHEDIOHA 1ST 100 DAYS:HIS MILESTONES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Having just observed his 100 days in office, Governor Ihedioha of Imo State has tucked away in his kitty, astonishing milestones.
Briefing newsmen in Owerri, the governors Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment Prince Eze Ugochukwu, narrated the sorrow state of the workers secretariat which was recently reconnected to public power supply after seven years.
According to Prince Ugochukwu, the secretariat was in darkness all these years because of enormous bills owed the power company which Governor Ihedioha has repaid.
He reported the case of the Owerri urban water scheme at Egbeada-Owerri, which was shut down for many years for reasons of nonpayment of power bills, and which Governor Ihedioha has again offsetted.
Speaking on ways adopted by Ihedioha to bring back good governance, the public enlightenment aide, gave a distinction to the administration for introducing the Treasury Single Account to consolidate all government revenues and earnings into one single account and also the revamping of the Bureau of Public Procurement and Price Intelligence targeted at returning transparence, and due prices in tender, bidding and contracting processes and eliminate insider dealings in the award of government contracts.
While commending the state legislature for their cooperation with the government, Prince Ugochukwu reiterated that the eight bills passed and signed into law by Governor Ihedioha are indications of the existing harmony between the two arms of government, stating that even the Judiciary is not left out, with the quick inauguration of the Judicial Service Commission meant to drive prompt service delivery in the judicial sector.
On security, Ugochukwu disclosed that with the setting up of the joint security team of the police, army, DSS, and civilian vigilante groups, code named IRON GATE, the state security apparatus is properly integrated, funded and equipped with brand new vehicles and other materials needed to fight crime.
