SANITATION DAY

 28th. September, the last Saturday of the month, members of World Youth Peace Organization participated in the exercise of Clean your environment and neighborhood.
The members took to the street in front of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish. Umuna that has been suffering from floods with all types of deadly and filthy rubbish caused by live stock business owners along the Trunk A Road in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.
Seeing is believing. Our health concern about this live stock business on the Urban City of Orlu, dumping the remnants from the killed chickens into the gutters causing blockage of the water drainage.
Exhibit: You can see a member of the group holding part of the intestine from the gutter in front of the church.
Live Stock business can't be operated on a highway of an urban city. This is a sorry sight to the public.
They need urgent removal from the premises.
Emergency intervention from the state and local government are needed to resolve this problem.
Imo State and its environments must be clean and green with collective support from everybody regardless of whom you are.
Long Live Imo State
Long Live our Governor.
long live Orlu LGA.
Imo State must be better.

INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION RELEASES ELECTION CALENDAR FOR 2019 ELECTION YEAR

  The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, January 9, released the timetable and schedules of activities for the 2019 general elections. INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, said in Abuja that the dates for National Assembly and Presidential elections remain Feb. 16, 2019; while governorship and State House of Assembly elections, will hold on March 2, 2019.   Yakubu said that the conduct of party primaries including resolution of disputes arising from primaries for national and state elections has been slated for between Aug. 18, 2018 to Oct. 7, 2018. He added that the conduct of parties primaries for the FCT Area Council election has also be scheduled for between Sept. 4 and Oct. 27.   Yakubu said that political campaigns by political parties for Presidential Election and NASS elections would commence on Nov. 18 and end on Jan. 14, 2019; while that of governorship and State Houses of Assembly would start on Dec. 1 and end on Feb. 28, 2019.
