Imo must take it's place as cleanest state, Gov. Ihedioha tasks committee Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon.Emeka Ihedioha CON, has inaugurated the Committee for the Planning, Sensitization and Implementation of Monthly Clean-up, with the charge to return the state as the cleanest state in the country. The Governor recalled that between 2008-2010, Imo was not only adjudged the cleanest state in the federation, but also won the prize instituted by the Federal Ministry of Environment for the cleanest state in the country. He however lamented the ugly turn of the gains, as the state, in the last eight years, ranked the least among the states, a narrative, he said must change. The Governor, consequently, mandated the committee headed by former Governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim to return the state to it's glory days of the cleanest state.
