FMR GOV. OKOROCHA'S AIDE CHIDES IMO STATE CHIEF OF STAFF TO GOVT HOUSE

PRESS RELEASE
SUBJECT: GOVERNOR EMEKA IHEDIOHA SHOULD SACK MR. CHRIS OKEWULONU, AS CHIEF OF STAFF, HAVING SHOWN THAT HE LACKS THE COMPOSURE OR DISCIPLINE & THE RIGHT TEMPERAMENT SUCH OFFICE REQUIRES.

-TELLING THE FORMER GOVERNOR, SENATOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA TO SHUT UP, SHOWS HE IS HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE

-LET HIM ALSO PUBLISH ALL THE GOVERNMENT’S PROPERTY & DETAILS OF THE MONEY HE SAID THE FORMER GOVERNOR SHOULD RETURN.
We want to swiftly call on Governor Emeka Ihedioha to sack Mr. Chris Okewulonu as Chief of Staff, Government House, because he has shown that he lacks the composure or discipline and the right temperament such sensitive Office requires.
Mr. Okewulonu openly told the immediate past governor of the State, Senator Rochas Okorocha to Shut Up, which went viral in the media. For making such callous statement about the immediate past governor of the State, Mr. Okewulonu only showed that he is highly irresponsible and never had any proper upbringing.
The former governor had called on Governor Ihedioha to halt the incessant harassment of his children and wife by some Senior Government Functionaries and their thugs and added that such unwarranted harassment was unacceptable to him. And the former governor, as usual, never abused anybody.
But Mr. Okewulonu in his reaction to that call, showed that he does not have the discipline, composure and the right temperament an occupant of the Office of Chief of Staff should be expected to have. Anybody from an ideal home or with the proper upbringing cannot say what Okewulonu said. You can make your points or argue your matter without talking like a Motor Park tout.   
In that media outing, Okewulonu also asked the former governor to return government’s property and money in his possession. And we challenge Okewulonu and his master to publish the government’s property and details of the money in possession of the former governor.
Let Okewulonu and all those concerned know that their hostilities against the former governor and members of his family and his former appointees only showed how weak they are in spirit and how unprepared they are to govern Imo State.
Infact, they are the ones looting the State. And we are getting our information. They have embarked on looting spree and engaging in hide and seek game.

INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION RELEASES ELECTION CALENDAR FOR 2019 ELECTION YEAR

  The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, January 9, released the timetable and schedules of activities for the 2019 general elections. INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, said in Abuja that the dates for National Assembly and Presidential elections remain Feb. 16, 2019; while governorship and State House of Assembly elections, will hold on March 2, 2019.   Yakubu said that the conduct of party primaries including resolution of disputes arising from primaries for national and state elections has been slated for between Aug. 18, 2018 to Oct. 7, 2018. He added that the conduct of parties primaries for the FCT Area Council election has also be scheduled for between Sept. 4 and Oct. 27.   Yakubu said that political campaigns by political parties for Presidential Election and NASS elections would commence on Nov. 18 and end on Jan. 14, 2019; while that of governorship and State Houses of Assembly would start on Dec. 1 and end on Feb. 28, 2019.
